TOUCHES SANDAKAN

79 days, in such a very long time I stayed here in Sandakan, Sabah, made it a very distinctive start of this year. Impressed with how fast time passes and how quick the good time flees, I feel so different sitting here now while recalling what I had done before. By convention, I will sit beside the window while typing, to feel the breeze and to feel the stars shine above me. Tonight however, it was raining cats and dogs, there’s no star, just cold-blast air and drips of rain on the roof.
The very first month of the year is nothing and stills nothing. So far of which I can recall, I will wake up for television and nothing more, seriously, forget not the time I spent walking circles in the house. You might ask, why not going out for a walk? Good question. I would have said the lack of interesting place in the neighborhood and the fact that I can’t drive are two of the reasons. How about newspapers? Of course, too bad there are only old newspapers in the house.
31 days afterward, things change, luck changes and my fate changes as Chinese New Year are approaching. Owe to the magnificent number of friends of my grandpa, I experienced an extremely prosperous Chinese New Year. My bag is full of angpau with colourful bills within it. Prior to that, I visited 2 open houses and about 15++elders, and of course some relatives. After all, I seriously need to give the credit to my grandparents.
And it is now 77 days later, couple of days until the returning flight. All my thought are carried away by the things that I will have to do after I am back in Johor, some of them are a driving test, a job, an English test, the Universities applications and getting my result for the STPM in March. Hoping none of this will be a big deal for me.
